What is the workshop about?
Explore functional movement and learn how to train your core to improve body balance, strength and resilience during this two-hour workshop with Sonia.
Life happens beyond linear movement. It is full of spirals, circles, bounces and curves happening in a variety of directions and planes of movement.
During this workshop we’ll explore how you can integrate functional movement into your practice to create more balanced, safer and healthier way to move the joints, the connective tissue and the system as a whole.
What can I expect?
Expect to gain understanding of functional movement and how to:
- Effectively use your feet which translates into how the rest of your body moves
- Train the core of your trunk to keep your body resilient and robust
- Create a balance of push and pull to bring a healthy balance to shoulder and upper body
- Develop a great sense of what dynamic alignment entails and apply it in any class or activity that you do
What will I gain from the workshop?
You will leave the workshop with at least 2 functional movement sequences that you can practice anywhere and anytime. This will lead to improved body balance, strength and resilience which can prevent injuries, improve sports performance and take your posture alignment to the next level.

Open to all looking to strengthen their core from head below in a more dynamic fashion
